Long Ball Mount to Gain Clearance Between Trailer Jack and Tow Vehicles Lift Gate
Question:
I have a funmover motorhome which is a toyhauler with a lift gate on the back. The problem is when hitched to a trailer the trailer jack is very close to the lift gate. I have part # C45900. It would be nice to be able to have the ball about 6inch more to the rear. What would be your suggestion? The hitch is rated at 10k lbs. Trailer at 10k lbs. The motorhome is on a F750 chassis. I have a couple pictures but unable to add them here.

It sounds like you need a longer ball mount. The longest adjustable ball mount we carry is the Curt # D900. It measures 15-1/4 inches from the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. In comparison the # C45900 you already have measures 11-1/4 inches using the furthest hitch pin hole so you'll be gaining 4 inches.
I attached an article that can help you measure for rise and drop. If you'd like, let me know the amount you need and I can recommend a fixed ball mount that may work for you.
