Hi, is it possible that it will work for our Skybox serial #07179-09071 We picked it up on the garage sale, so I do not know which year is manufactured. Thanks for help!

I reached out to my contact at Yakima and they were able to cross-reference the serial number. The Replacement SuperLatch Handle Assemblies for Yakima SkyBox Rooftop Cargo Boxes - Qty 2 # Y8880348, will be the correct replacement for your Skybox. You have one of the first production runs with that latch, so it most likely was manufactured in 2009.

So even though your Yakima SkyBox 18 #Y07336 or SkyBox21 #Y07337 has the diamond shaped hinges currently, those are an older model hinge that is no longer used by Yakima; you also won't be able to use the Replacement Front Lid Support 8870090…
