Question:
My drawtite was working fine then one day it goes up with this code on the display? Was wondering what this was for?

On the Discontinued Draw-Tite I-command Brake Controller 5535, the manual says the error is the brake controller is "seeing" an overload condition during operation.
If it is reading overload without the trailer connected then that means there is a short in the blue trailer feed wire on the vehicle. You will need to check this wire for a short using a circuit tester like # PTW2993, and replace the wire where any issue is found. If you can't find the point along the wire, I recommend cutting the wire about 6 inches back from the unit to test it there using the brake pedal and the manual override. If there is no signal that close to the unit, the controller itself at fault and will need to be replaced.
If the controller is reading overload only when the trailer is connected then there is a short or overload in the trailer wiring or brakes. Again, to test the wiring to find out where the short is. If it is on the trailer end and you cannot find a wiring problem then the problem may be that the brake magnets are worn out and they will need to be replaced. If you can see the copper windings in the magnets then they are in need of replacement. We have replacement magnets available (see link).
