Switch to Control 12V Power Circuit in Tow Vehicle 7-Way Trailer Connector
Question:
Can I put a switch in tow vehicle and still use 7 way connection to power them? I have a switch in trailer. I want one in truck too. No clue how to make it happen.

Expert Reply:
It is possible to install a power switch in your truck 7-way's 12V auxiliary power circuit. This will allow you to manually control the power feed to the 7-way. Epicord offers Battery Disconnect Switch # 277-000096 that can be installed in the truck on the trailer power circuit between the 7-way and the circuit breaker. This lockable item has input/output terminals on the back and mounts to a flat surface using the 4-hole mounting plate. Hardware is not included.
