Install Harness Needed to Install Tekonsha Trailer Brake Controller in a 2014 Ford F-150
Question:
2014 Ford F-150 7 way factory plug in connector at the rear bumper No factory brake controller. Included, but not installed, is a factory harness, along with a #9 relay and a #21 fuse that was in the glovebox. The fuse box under the hood is missing both the relay and the fuse. In order to have trailer brake functions, I am sure those need to be inserted in the fuse box? The factory wire harness has bare wires on one end. Blue/Red/Green and White. Labeled blue wire for trailer electric brakes Red wire labeled feed wire from battery Green wire labeled stop lamp The other end is a large grey connector labeled instrument panel feed I want the digital Tekonsha controller I think Should I just get the prewired harness model or is there one that I can wire up the bare wires to the controller? My electrical skills are very weak. Please suggest a controller that would be more user friendly for my skill set.

To install the Tekonsha Primus IQ part # TK90160 you need the install harness part # 22292 that you referenced. As far as we are aware there shouldn't need to be any fuses or relays connected under your hood to make the controller work, but if you check the fuse location labels and they are brake controller related then yes they would need to be installed.
