Wiring an Odessey Brake Controller on a 2005 Dodge 2500 with and without a Plug and Play
Question:
I have a 2005 Dodge 2500 with out towing package it has a 7 pin flat plug on the back. I want to I install an Odessey Brake controller. The Dodge dealer told me this one would just plug right in to a wiring harness under the dash, but I cant find any harness that would fit.

If the 7 way connector is factory installed, there should be a plug under the dash to connect the wiring adapter. Behind the emergency brake pedal, there should be a black box on the firewall with a bolt running through the center of it. The connector you are looking for should be located above it. If the 7 way was not factory installed, you will have to hardwire the brake controller. We have an online help page that describes how this is done. You will also need the appropriate installation kit
