Wiring an Odessey Brake Controller on a 2005 Dodge 2500 with and without a Plug and Play

Question:

I have a 2005 Dodge 2500 with out towing package it has a 7 pin flat plug on the back. I want to I install an Odessey Brake controller. The Dodge dealer told me this one would just plug right in to a wiring harness under the dash, but I cant find any harness that would fit.

If the 7 way connector is factory installed, there should be a plug under the dash to connect the wiring adapter. Behind the emergency brake pedal, there should be a black box on the firewall with a bolt running through the center of it. The connector you are looking for should be located above it. If the 7 way was not factory installed, you will have to hardwire the brake controller. We have an online help page that describes how this is done.
