How To Wire Brake Controller on 2004 Ford F-150
Question:
Where is the Ford brake control connection for the O.E.M. wire that comes from the the Tekonsha brake controller? The application doesnt show where to plug in the wire to the 2004 F-150. Is the connector in the engine compartment or under the dash. Wherever it is, how can I find its location?

If you have a factory tow package that includes a 7 way connector at the rear, then there will be a port underneath the dash for a brake controller harness. It should be near the large trapezoid shape OBDII port under the steering column.
If you do have the factory tow package, you will need the harness that will fit your truck and the brake controller. If you have one of the newer Tekonsha brake controllers like the Prodigy or the P-3, you would use harness part # 3035-P. If you have a brake controller has loose wires coming out, then you would use the same harness, cut off the black connector and wire the harness color for color to your brake controller.
If you do not have the factory tow package with the 7 way, you would still use one of the connectors mentioned above, but you would have to add part # 118247 to provide a 7 way connector at the rear of the vehicle.
