2000 Ford F250 Super Duty with 7-Way Replacement Recommendation with 4-Way Adapter

Question:

My truck has the 7 round and 4 flat connector at the bumper. Do you agree it would be easier since I am going to replace it with this just to rip it out install this and get a adapter such as the Pollak PK12716? I have one mounted on my boat trailer for my trailer lights into my EOH set up that works great. Another question is if I go this route what bracket should I get that does not have the 4 flat cut out on the side. Thank you

The 7-way harness part # 118243 is a confirmed fit for your 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty so it would be a great option for a new 7-way and then to convert it to a 4-way the part # PK12716 would be a great fit.

For just a 7-way bracket the part # PK12711U would work well too.
