how many chains are needed on a set of 265/50R20 tires?

According to an onilne copy of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee's owner's manual, tire chains should only be installed on the rear tires. It also states to not exceed 30 miles per hour and use chains that are Class S compatible.
For a set that matches this criteria and will fit your 265/50R20 sized tires I suggest the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2326. These chains install manually but use tensioners to assist with adjustment and tighten them on your tires. They're also made from a durable, rust resistant alloy.
If you prefer an automatically installing set, the Thule Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains XG12 Pro # TH01594267 are a great option for you. These install by just looping the chains over your tires and driving off. They will automatically tighten and align as you drive. They also include nylon bumpers to protect your Jeep's rims. I've attached videos of both sets of chains for you to take a look at.
