Which Circuit Breaker to Install with Prodigy Brake Controller for Use with 3-Axle Trailer
Question:
I intend to usually haul a 1-2 axle trailer, but would like to be able to hook up to a 3 axle without replacing the circuit breaker. Should I install the 20amp or 30 amp circuit breaker from the ETBC7 kit?

Expert Reply:
You will want to use the 30-amp breaker when you install your # ETBC7 Brake controller kit. This will pass enough current for the Prodigy controller # 90195 to power up to 6 brake assemblies on three axles. The 40-amp breaker should be installed on the 12V trailer power circuit.
