Expert Reply:

A trailer wheel's maximum psi pressure rating will depend on the valve stem installed in it. Your trailer wheels might take either a standard snap-in 65-psi rubber valve stem like # AM20903 or a high-pressure metal bolt-on type like # AM20906 which is rated for pressures over 100-psi. The actual pressure capacity of a wheel/tire/valve stem combination will depend on the limit of the lowest-rated item.

The Provider ST215/75R14 Load Range D Radial Trailer Tire # TTWTRTM2157514D requires 65-psi pressure in order to deliver its rated weight-carrying capacity of 2200-lbs. This tire will fit on a 14-inch rim of several widths: 5-1/2-, 6-, 6-1/2- and 7-inches wide. If your wheels are one of these 14-inch sizes and your valve stems can handle 65-psi pressure you can use these Provider tires which offer an M speed rating of 81-mph maximum.

Trailer tires should ALWAYS be fully inflated to their maximum cold psi pressure as noted on the tire sidewall. It is never appropriate to under- or over-inflate a trailer tire for any reason. The two linked articles on trailer tires may be of interest to you.
