Do you have a base plate for a subaru Crosstrek AWD stick shift 2013? Is it flat towable? Thanks

On page 9-15 of the owner's manual I found information about towing your Crosstrek. The manual does say that the best method is to carry the vehicle on a flatbed. It does not specifically say flat-towing is not permitted, so I recommend checking with your dealership to make sure you follow any restrictions for your Crosstrek.

The base plates I recommend are part # BX3615. This has removable arms so less of the base plate is visible when you are not towing.

For a tow bar I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar, part # BX7380. This non-binding tow bar stores on RV and includes the safety cables.

For lighting you can use the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155, and not have to worry about cutting and splicing into the vehicle wiring.

Most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to the towing vehicle braking action. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles. You will also need the outlet kit part # RM-9332.

I have included a couple of helpful links to our articles on flat towing for you. Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual for more specific information on flat towing your vehicle.

You will want to tow your Crosstrek as level as possible so I have attached a link to a helpful article that explains how to determine if a high-low hitch adapter is needed. I also attached a link to the adapters we offer.
