Recommendation on Weight Distribution and Sway Control for a Chevrolet Siverado 2500 HD.
Question:
I am buying a new trailer and thinking about a distribution hitch. The new trailer's gross weight 7500 lbs with tongue weight 600 lbs. Pulling with a diesel Sliverado 2500HD. Looking at the Curt C17500 model or maybe the Equalizer EQ37100ET. Which / What is the best model as I want sway control as well?

When choosing a weight distribution and sway control system the most important factor is knowing the total tongue weight of your vehicle and trailer. This includes the the trailer's tongue weight and any weight that might be loaded in the bed of your truck behind the rear axle.
The Curt # C17500 and the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET weight distribution systems will help create a smooth and level ride to allow you tow the maximum capacity. However, with the information that you provided me, the Curt system is rated too high for a 600 lbs tongue weight. The Equal-i-zer system falls on the higher end of the spectrum for your tongue weight. Curt does not make a weight distribution and sway control system rated low enough for your application.
I recommend the Equal-i-zer system. Equal-i-zer was one of the originators of weight distribution and sway control systems.Their 4 Point Sway Control limits side to side sway with the steel on steel friction bars. The Equal-i-zer system has a limited lifetime warranty and made in the USA.
I also recommed the Fastway E2 weight distribution system # FA92-00-0800. This system is comparable to the Curt weight distribution system in cost and will work well with your 600 lbs tongue weight.
I have attached links to help articles that explain weight distribution and how to measure total tongue weight.
