What Is The Difference Between A Lead Leg And A Follow Leg With Landing Gear?

Question:

What is the difference between a lead Leg and a follow leg?

Expert Reply:

The lead leg of your landing gear is the leg that has the motor and gear box attached to it directly. The follow leg has a connecting bar that is attached to it from the lead leg to move at the same rate as the lead leg. The follow leg does not attach to the motor assembly and gear box directly.
