Which Hitch is Better for Use with a Sidewinder a Reese Select Series 16K or Curt E16
Question:
I have a sidewinder. Which hitch would be better to tow with the Reese 16k double jaw or the curt e16? Is the Reese really worth $300 more? I have a curt double lock gooseneck and curt x5 adapter plate already. I had a husky 16k previously and experienced some chucking with it and sold it.

It is not really a fair comparison between Reese hitch # RP30047 and Curt hitch # C16115. The Reese hitch is absolutely better. That hitch in particular has been around a long time. If chucking is a concern you definitely want to avoid hitches that have a slide bar jaw like the Curt E16. They allow for too much play between the king pin and the jaw.
The Reese hitch has the more secure dual jaw design so you would experience less chucking with it. I have linked a video review of this hitch for you.
I also recommend the custom wedge # SWW-03 for the best fit between the Sidewinder and the hitch.
