How Does the Difference of Working Load Limit and Maximum Capacity Apply for Fulton Quick Links

Question:

My tow bar system is rated @ 10,000# but the safety cable hooks bind on the receiver lock so I am wanting to add quick links to move them off the actual receiver loops. You list the WLL as 3300# but the capacity as 16,500#. What is the difference between the WLL rating and capacity? Secondly, I can find 1/2inch quick links almost any place rated @ 3300#. How do I know which are best?

The Working Load Limit (WLL) is the maximum working load designed by the manufacturer. The maximum capacity is the highest load the product can support. So, for your application (flat towing) the WLL really won't apply since there is no working load. The safety cables aren't working, unless there's a problem.
