The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56157 will not damage the wiring of your 2013 Kia Rio. This harness is custom made for your Rio and plugs directly into the existing wiring in the rear cargo area, behind both tail lights. It has an included tail light converter so that the Rio's matches your trailer's.
If you need a trailer hitch as well, the Draw-Tite Sportframe # 24884 is a confirmed fit for the Rio. This is a Class I hitch receiver rated for 2000 pounds towing and 200 pounds of tongue weight.
For a ball mount and hitch ball parts # 3593 and # 19258 will work for you.
