Low Clearance Tire Chain for 275/60-20 Tire Size on 2012 Ram 1500
Question:
Hello, I need help with finding the right solution for my truck. I have moved to Colorado, maybe be living in the mountains and need occassional help getting downhill for work. 2012 Ram 1500 4x4 with 20inch wheels/stock tires 275/60/20 My owners manual is very ambigious at best. It states that only S class chains are permitted on the rear tires with 17inch wheels. It says nothing about my factory 20inch wheels. Are you familiar with this arrangement and can you recommend a set of cables/chains that will work on my vehicle? Thanks,

You will need to check with a Ram dealer to get their official stance on what to use with your tire size. If you can install them the Titan chains part # TC2533 are a great option that offer great clearances, traction, price, and install time for the 275/60-20.
Only a Ram dealer can give you the go-ahead to install chains on a vehicle where the owners manual leaves things a bit ambiguous.
