What Snow Tire Chains do You Recommend for My 2021 GMC Yukon Denali?

Question:

With the stock 275/50 r22 tires on the Denali the owner manual says not to use chains. But in California there are times when chains are required. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks

Yes, you are correct that your owner's manual for your 2021 GMC Yukon Denali says that you shouldn't use tire chains on your 275/50-22 tires. The reason why manufacturers have this listed is to wash their hands of any liability just in case something interferes with the struts or other components in your wheel wells. This is very common.

What we would do in this case is fit on tire chains in order to obey the traffic laws in your state. However, we need to also fit tire chains on your tire that will avoid any of the safety concerns that GMC has for your wheel well components.

With that being said, the safest option we carry that will fit your rear tires without interfering with any components in your inner wheel well is the Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link # KON24FR. The reason why these are the absolute safest is because the Konig premium chains do not install anywhere on the interior sidewall of your tires (thus avoiding any potential risk for damage). Also, the self-tensioners in the chains are a nice touch because you will not need to constantly get out of the comfort of your vehicle in order to tighten the chains after each trip.
