Trailer Hitch for a 2013 Toyota Camry and Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack
Question:
Is there a hitch that has a 2 inch receiver for 2013 toyota camry LE and would you recommend taking it to a Toyota dealer for instalation. I would like to use it for a Kual Sherpa or the new 2.0, but not sure about compatability?

The trailer hitches for the 2013 Toyota Camry are Class II hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers. But this is not a problem because the Kuat Sherpa is available for 1-1/4 inch receivers as well.
For a trailer hitch I recommend Draw-Tite hitch # 36540 because it does not have any special requirements when using a bike rack. I have linked a video showing an install installation for you. Installation is not all that difficult but if you don't want to install it yourself any trusted mechanic can perform the installation. I am not too sure how the dealer would respond to installing an aftermarket part they didn't sell you but you could always call them ahead of time to see.
The 1-1/4 inch version of the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 is # SH12G, # SH12P, or # SH12B (G for gray, P for pearl, and B for black). The original Sherpa is being phased out.
