Can Enclosed Carpod Carrier M2200 Be Used with Hitch Extender
Question:
If I were to purchase a hitch extender to clear the spare tire on my Jeep wrangler, would that be sufficient to still get this carrier? I plan to use the carrier for softball equipment, camping gear, etc. Thank you for your time.

You can use a hitch extender with the Carpod Carrier part # M2200 but you should note that doing so cuts the capacity of the hitch on the Jeep in half.
For a 7 inch extender we have the # HE06 which I attached a review video for. That should put the carrier out 11 inches past the hitch pin hole of the Jeep which in most cases is enough to clear the spare. You may want to measure you Jeep first to be certain.
