Adding a 7-Way and Brake Controller to a 1965 Chevy C10 Pickup Truck
Question:
Mike Here did great video on the C10 parts needed for wiring on a Chevy C10 1965. My question is as do need the 7pin connector set up is do I need the brake controller etc as this is for an Airstream 2015 30 foot Flying cloud and thought the brake controller already standard on the RV itself. Please reply ASAP.

If your 2015 Airstream trailer has electric brakes then to activate them you will need to install a 7-Way connector and brake controller on your 1965 Chevy C10 pickup. To do that you would first install a 4-Way trailer connector # 18252 if the truck does not have one already.
Next you will need # ETBC7 to add the 7-Way and wiring to install a brake controller. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable. Your 2015 Airstream Flying Cloud does not have a brake controller on it. It does have electric brakes and a breakaway system but that system is not a brake controller.
