Recommended Weight Distribution System For 2015 Sure Trac Car Hauler That Requires No Drilling
Question:
Interested in a weight distribution system for my 2015 Sure Trac car hauler. The trailer is 2000lbs and the car going on it is 4000lbs. I would like to use a system that does not need to be drilled into the trailer. Can you suggest one? Thank you

When choosing a weight distribution system you want the tongue weight of the fully-loaded trailer to be as close to the middle of the range of the system you go with. Typically, the tongue weight is about 10 percent of the trailer so in the case of your 2000-lb trailer carrying a 4000-lb vehicle the tongue weight should be around 600-lbs.
The weight distribution system I recommend is the Curt Trunnion System, part # 17302. This has a weight capacity of 10,000-lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 1,000-lbs. The chain hangers for this system are a bolt-on so there is no drilling required when installing this system.
The system does not come with a hitch ball so for a 2-inch ball I recommend part # A-90, and for a 2-5/16 inch ball I recommend part # 19286.
