Class III Trailer Hitch Installation on 2003 Lincoln Aviator
Question:
I have 2003 Lincoln aviator my question is can I removed the original trailer hitch to install your hitch ?. It looks kind of tacky one on bottom of the other. Also due you have one that does not stick out from bottom of the bumper?

If the factory- (or dealer-) installed hitch on your 2003 Lincoln Aviator is bolted on to the vehicle frame, rather than being welded to it, then you should be able to remove it to install a larger 2-inch Class III hitch like # 75132 from Draw-Tite. The easiest way to check is to get a look under the vehicle to see how the hitch's frame brackets are attached.
If they are bolted to the frame then you will be able to remove the hitch in order to install a new one.
If the hitch happens to be welded on (unlikely, we think) then you might have to have the dealership, or at least a qualified welder, remove the old hitch.
Both 2-inch hitches we offer for the vehicle, Draw-Tite # 75132 and Curt # C13550, are designed to fit along with the OEM hitch. We have not yet had a chance to install these for another customer with your same vehicle so we cannot offer a comparison of how they look once installed.
If you need a 4-pole wiring harness (and if the Aviator came with no trailer wiring from the factory) then you can use part # 118344 which offers easy plug-in installation.
