No Trailer Brakes with Brake Pedal Pressed on a 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic
Question:
I have an 2007 chevrolet silverado i installed a prodigy 3 and everything works fine except when i press the brake pedal nothing. Need help with what to check.

Expert Reply:
On a brake controller the red wire is associated with the brake pedal. Use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to test the red wire. It should show power when you step on the brake pedal. If it does not have power then you could have a blown stop light or CHMSL fuse.
It could also be that the red wire is not in the correct position for your 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic. Then end that plugs into the truck should look like the picture I have included. If the red wire is in a different position then you can move it to the correct position.
