Vehicle Warranty Restrictions For Towing A Small Trailer With A 2009 Honda Fit

my 2009 Honda Fit manual says that this car is not designed for towing. however, i want to tow a small trailer with a gross weight of 540 lbs. if i buy your hitch, will it void my car warranty ?

The Curt Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch # C11064 hitch is rated to tow up to 2000 pounds, but this does not necessarily mean your 2009 Honda Fit is capable of towing this much. If it does not list a towing capacity in your owner's manual then there is usually a reason why they do not.
Installing an aftermarket hitch does sometimes void vehicle warranties, but this would be something you would need to discuss with your Honda dealer.
The hitch manufactures produce hitches for the Honda Fit because people have been using them for use with a hitch bike rack.
