How to Carry 320 Lbs. Scooter on Front of 2016 Ram 2500

I have a 2016 Ram 2500 Diesel towing a fifth wheel RV looking for a reasonable and safe way to carry a Motor Scooter weighing 320lbs. The only way I have come up with is a front carry system. Here are the 3 items I am looking at: 1. Item 65063 Front Mount Receiver Hitch 2. Item e98873 Motorcycle Carrier 3. Item RM-048-8 My question is will this accomplish what I intend on doing, or is there a better solution?

It sounds like you've already got everything figured out. As long as your 2016 Ram 2500 has the factory tow hooks you can install the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65063.

The etrailer Motorcycle Carrier # e98873 will carry up to 500 lbs. and the hitch receiver is rated for 500 lbs. You will want to verify that the front axle weight capacity of your truck is enough as well because you will be limited by whichever piece is rated the lowest. You can find this on the spec label or in the owner's manual.

The Roadmaster High-Low Adapter # RM-048-8, or any kind of adapter, will reduce the carrying capacity of your hitch receiver by 50 percent. So you wouldn't want to use any type of an adapter.

It is important to remember, carrying anything on the front will block some of the air flow into the engine of your Ram, and you will also want to make sure the scooter doesn't get in the way of your headlights or your view of the road.
