In order to use the GearSpace 34 Enclosed Sliding Cargo Carrier # HGK819 while you tow with the 2-inch hitch on your 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 you will need a hitch adapter.
Curt offers their Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 which has a ball platform that takes a ball with a 1-inch diameter shank and an additional upper receiver tube for use with an accessory such as the GearSpace carrier. The total combined tongue weight (TW) of the carrier and the trailer cannot exceed 750-lbs. A key advantage of this part over the other option from Curt is that it does NOT reduce your hitch capacity.
On the other hand the Curt Dual 2-Inch Receiver Tube Adapter # D-192, which provides two 2-inch receiver openings, DOES reduce your hitch's capacity by half. This may make the D210 the better option if you need the full capacity of the hitch for the trailer's weight. The advantage of the dual receiver adapter is that you get to select the length of ball mount you want to use so you can control the amount of clearance between the trailer and the cargo carrier.
I have linked review videos for both adapters.
The Malone kayak trailers I reviewed all had a long pole-style tongue so you should have plenty of clearance for the cargo carrier provided that your kayaks do not sit too far forward on the trailer.
