Yes, we have base plates for the 1993 Ford Explorer. You can use the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, item # 449-2. This base plate kit will fit all of the 1993 Explorers including the Eddie Bauer Edition and the XLT, but will not fit the Limited Edition vehicles.

To use the Tow Ready Adjustable Tow Bar, 5,000 lbs, item # 63180, with Roadmaster base plates you will also need the Roadmaster Base Plate to Tow Ready Tow Bar Adapter, item # RM-025, and a set of Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnects, item # RM-201, to easily remove the tow bar and draw bars from the front of your vehicle. Keep in mind that this tow bar is rated for towing speeds of 45 miles per hour or less.

A better tow bar option would be the RoadMaster Tracker Tow Bar, # RM-020, which is designed for towing long distances and more frequently. With this tow bar you will need a set of Quick Disconnects, # RM-201, to easily connect and disconnect the tow bar from the base plates.

Wiring will also be required for your Explorer. You can use a magnetic lighting kit like the Custer Trailer Lights for Tow Bars, item # RM-2120, or if you will be towing frequently you can use the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, item # RM-154, to conveniently plug into when towing.

Finally, you will need a set of safety cables. The RoadMaster 68 inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs, item # RM-643, can be used to complete your towing setup.

I have posted video links that show base plate installation and wiring of a 2006 Jeep Liberty, to give you an idea of what is involved in the installation.
