Electric Trailer Brake Assemblies to Fit 10x2-1/4 Inch Dexter Drum
Question:
I have a dexter 8-247 10inch drum with a 2 1/4inch brake pad . will these brake assemblies work with my dexter drums

Yes, the Electric Trailer Brake Assembly # AKEBRK-35L is the left hand brake to fit your Dexter drum. For the right hand side you'll need # AKEBRK-35R.
If you would prefer self-adjusting brakes you would use # AKEBRK-35R-SA for the right and # AKEBRK-35L-SA for the left. Self-adjusting brakes are much easier to maintain and do not require to be adjusted manually as the brake pads wear.
To connect the brake wires on the trailer to the magnet wires on the new brakes you can use the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05744-5. You will also need the nuts and lock washers to mount the brakes # BIK-00. Finally, to make the necessary adjustments it's much easier with an adjustment spoon # W80630. Especially, if you don't get the self-adjusting brakes.
