The Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector with 7-Pole, # PK11893-11932, will work on your 2006 GMC 3500 Dually Cab N Chassis if you have the factory tow package wiring harness. This harness will plug inline, with a T-connector, to the factory harness and provide a 7-pole trailer connector in the truck bed area for use with a fifth wheel or gooseneck.
The Draw-Tite harness to use would be the Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Connector, # 50-97-410. This harness also plugs inline to the factory harness. It has a 90 degree 7-way to make fitting it into the open space of the inside of the bed easier. It also has a longer cable, 9 feet, versus the 7-1/2 feet on the Pollak harness. I am sending a link to the instructions on the Draw-Tite harness.
They both serve the same functions and install in a very similar manner, some find the 90 degree 7-way easier to install and some need the 9 foot length.
If you do not have the factory tow package harness on your vehicle you will need to install the Wiring Harness, # C59496. This will give you a 4-pole at the rear of your vehicle. Then, you will have to hardwire a 7-way to your vehicle by using the Brake Controller 7 & 4 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7, which will plug into the 4-pole connector and the four remaining wires will be hardwired to the vehicle.
I am sending a link to instructions on how to hardwire the # ETBC7 kit to your vehicle.
