Possible Replacement Installation Straps for Swiss Cargo 3 Bike Rack
Question:
Id like to buy replacement straps for my Swiss Cargo 3 trunk bike carrier. They were missing from the box and the carrier was purchased as a close out deal 2 years ago. Can you take a look at this bike carrier and tell me what straps I need to purchase from you to make it work? This bike rack is getting strapped to a Jeep Cherokee. Thank you!

We have a number of replacement straps from various trunk bike rack manufacturers. However, since we do not offer replacement straps from Swiss Cargo, I cannot guarantee that any of these other straps will work for you.
If you have the strap attachment already on the bike rack and need the actual strap with the hook to secure on the vehicle, one option is the SportRack Replacement Strap # SR050001. This strap is designed as a replacement for the SportRack Backbone rack.
The Replacement Side/Lower Strap # RG8890248 that you referenced are designed for Road Gear Trunk Racks. The bottom strap is designed to feed through a buckle on the rack and hook at the bottom of the trunk. The side strap has the buckle that will need to attach to a strap already on the side of the rack. From the photos I found of the Swiss Cargo 3 Rack, these straps will not work well.
