Recommended Wiring Harness for 2006 Toyota Sienna to Tow a 6 Round Pin Tent Trailer
Question:
Im looking to hook up a tent trailer with a heavy duty 7 way plug round type, not blade type to a 2006 Toyota Sienna. If I get the straight Sienna wiring harness, what would be the best way of adapting the two? Thank you in advance for any help. I cannot comment on the turn signal/brake lights (the back end is inaccessible until I get help to pull it out of a very tight spot)

Good news! I can help you with wiring up your tent trailer for your 2006 Toyota Sienna.
First you will need the # 118304, which will provide you with a 4-way wiring harness and then I recommend installing the # ETBC7 this will give you the 7-way blade style connector which is more common than the 7-way round that your tent trailer has, so if you get a different trailer in the future you will not have to rewire your connector. To adapt your 7-way blade to the 7-way round we have the Brophy # F77R or if you need a longer cord you can wire up your own with a # PK11720 7-way round pin connector and a # H20046 connector and 8 foot length of wire. You will just want to make sure you pin the trailer to match.
If you pull the trailer out and find that it has separate tail lights you will need the # 118158 Tow Ready 3 to 2 converter and you will need to rewire the trailer and plug to work with the above listed setup. I've linked an image of what this will look like for you to check out. If you find you have combined taillights the above will work great for you without the need of the converter..
I have linked the above mentioned parts to this page for your viewing and purchasing convenience.
