Question:
I only have a 4 wire plug on truck. What is required to install a wireless brake controller since it has a 7 wire plug? Thank you

In order for the Prodigy RF brake controller # TK94FR to work the tow vehicle will need to have a 7-Way connector with function light circuits and a functioning 12 volt circuit. Since your truck already has a 4-Way you will just need a couple of parts.
First you will need a 4- to 7-Way adapter # 37185. Your 4-Way will plug into this adapter to provide the lighting functions. The white wire on the adapter will need to be grounded to the vehicle frame.
Next you will need about 25 feet of wire # 12-1-1 sold by the foot. One end will connect to the adapter black wire. The other end will get routed under the vehicle, avoiding areas that may pinch or burn the wire such as exhaust, suspension, and engine components, and end up near the vehicle battery.
Then you will attach the end you just routed to a 40 amp circuit breaker, # PK54540, to the AUX post. With the left over wire attach one end to the BAT post of the breaker and the other end to the positive battery terminal.
the other wires on the adapter will not be used since the Prodigy RF only needs the lighting functions and the 12 volt circuit to operate. I also recommend wiring kit # HM51010 which comes with additional parts needed to complete this installation. I have also included a link with tips on routing the power wire.
