How to Identify Replacement Bearings, Races and Grease Seals for Enclosed Car Hauler Trailer
Question:
I have a 2002 ATC car carrier enclosed trailer with tandem 7,000# Torsion axles. I want to remove and replace bearings, races, seal. Do you sell the correct parts kit for my trailer?

You'll want to pull one of your hubs to find the part numbers for the existing inner and outer bearings, and grease seal, to enable you to choose replacements. I have linked a photo that shows the usual placement of these part numbers. Using the existing part references is by far the easiest way to identify the correct replacement parts.
If you cannot obtain parts numbers then you'll want to use a precision digital caliper (like # PTW80157) to measure the spindles at the points identified in the diagram as B, C and D. These are the points on the spindle where the grease seal, inner bearing and outer bearing ride. You'll also want to measure the hub bore (on the side facing the trailer) to confirm the seal outer diameter.
You can directly enter the original part numbers into our search box to view replacements. I have linked our main pages for both bearings/races and bearing kits, and also for grease seals. You can sort the results by clicking on the filters.
Let's say you can't find a part number for your grease seal but your spindle measurement B shows the diameter to be 0.99-inch. For this you will select seal # CE16305A as long as its outer diameter of 1.78-inches matches your hub's inner bore (where the seal installs). Part # L54FR is a great choice for wheel bearing grease.
I linked also an article and video to help you with the replacement process.
