Trunk mounted bike racks for your vehicle are not strong enough to carry your Day 6 bikes on the back of your 2012 Nissan Cube, so you will need to use a hitch mounted bike rack for your needs.

Nissan does not recommend towing nor installing a hitch on your vehicle, but we do offer trailer hitches to fit your vehicle if you want to use a hitch mounted rack. Many Nissan Cube owners want a trailer hitch to be able to carry bike racks and cargo carriers which is why we offer trailer hitches for your vehicle.

The bike rack Day 6 recommends for your bikes, is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Platform Bike Rack # HR1000Z-R.

This rack carries two bikes and can carry up to 45 lbs. per bike. This rack fits in 1-1/4" hitches and can tilt down when the bikes are not mounted for easy access to the back hatch.

If you need a Trailer Hitch for your 2012 Nissan Cube, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" Item # C11202. This is currently the only hitch we carry for your Cube and it requires a stabilizing strap like # 18050 when carrying non-trailer loads, like bike racks or cargo carriers. This hitch has a maximum tongue capacity of 200 lbs. and the Hollywood Sports Rider bike rack will fit with this hitch.
