Can 4 Kayaks be Carried on the Roof of a Honda Pilot
Question:
I need to carry 4 kayaks on my roof. I have the crossbars already. Do I need just one set of these so 2 kayaks on each side of it? And is there a picture somewhere I can see of 4 kayaks being tied to it? Thanks!

Getting 4 kayaks on the roof of any vehicle can be a little difficult. The Stacker # TH830 can provide support for 2 kayaks be side standing on their sides (as long as there is enough space on the crossbars for the total width).
You will likely need at least one additional set of tie downs, # TH855XT.
Also the weight carrying capacities of both the roof and roof rack will need to exceed the weight of the kayaks. The Stacker also works with kayaks up to 10 feet long. If the Honda Pilot does not have wide enough bars, a high enough capacity, or if the kayaks are over 10 feet long then the best solution is what is called a roof rack on wheels.
A roof rack on wheels is essentially a trailer with roof rack crossbars on it to hold roof rack accessories such as kayak carriers. These options are a bit more expensive but so much easier to load and 4 kayaks will definitely fit. We have the Yakima Rack and Roll line and # Y08106 will work great for you. You can use the Stacker with this trailer.
Your Honda Pilot will need to have a trailer hitch and trailer connector to activate the trailer lights if it does not already have those items. I will need to know the year of your Pilot to make specific recommendations.
