Will Curt T-One Wiring Harness fit 2008 Jeep Liberty without Factory 7-Way
Question:
I have installed the hitch from curt and purchase it from you. It went great. Now I need to do the wiring for towing the boat. The jeep has a tow/haul button but I dont think it has the extra wiring in the tail lights. So, I need to be sure the c56183 is the right one. I do like the way your bissness is ran and being personal. Thanks

Thanks for your support of etrailer.com! It sounds like your 2008 Jeep Liberty does not have the factory 7-Way trailer connector. If this is the case, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56334 will work well for you.
This wiring harness will plug into the Liberty's existing factory wiring system, as you mentioned, behind the taillights. Since the # C56334 wiring harness has a powered converter box, you will also want to route the power wire under the vehicle so it can be connected, through a fuse, to the vehicle's positive battery terminal.
I have attached a help article on running this power wire and an installation video of a similar Liberty to your own for you.
If you need a ball mount to tow your trailer with, I have attached a help article that will help you determine the correct rise or drop needed to be able to tow your boat trailer level. I have also linked all of our ball mounts and hitch ball options for you. The etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2 Inch Hitches # 989900 is a great starter kit to offer you a couple different options if one of the ball mounts offer the right rise/drop of your Liberty and boat trailer.
