Trailer Hitch Installation on 2016 Porsche Macan

Question:

I am interested in installing a trailer hitch on my 2016 Porsche Macan. Your website recommends the Curt C13136. There is a video link on your site of it being installed on an Audi Q5 but not on a Porsche Macan. Do you know if there is a video available of it being installed on a Porsche Macan or at least detailed instructions? Thanks.

The Curt 2-inch Class III hitch # C13136 is indeed a confirmed fit on your 2016 Porsche Macan but we have not yet had a local customer bring in their 2016 Macan for an installation. If/when that happens we will certainly make an installation video.

Since the hitch's mounting flanges are the attachment point to all compatible vehicles the main differences in the installation will relate to the removal of interfering structures and cosmetic trim panels. Taking these items off the vehicle makes it easier to access those mounting points. Curt does rate this hitch installation as fairly challenging, a 7 out of 10 degree of difficulty. If you plan to use the hitch for a bike or cargo carrier you'll want to use Curt's Stabilizing Strap # 18050 to help support that load on the hitch tube, which is Curt's recommendation.
