How To Change Wrong 4-Way Connector On A Trailer From Vehicle End Connector To Trailer End Connector
Question:
I have a 92 Toyota pickup that I want to use to pull a trailer. Looks like #118379 is the ticket - but the connector on the trailer has the vehicle end connector 1 pole is exposed male, and the other 3 are female within the plastic housing. I assume my trailers the odd ball here - if I install the #118379 is there an adapter that has two 4-pole trailer ends? Thanks in advance for the help.

I would recommend to use the Draw-Tite T-One Wiring Harness, # 118379, on your 1992 Toyota Pickup. This will give you the correct harness for your vehicle with a 4-pole flat connector at the rear of your vehicle. This harness will plug in behind the drivers side taillights and passenger side taillights.
On your trailer you can remove the 4-pole flat vehicle end connector that is on there now and attach the Hopkins Quick Fix(TM) 4 Pole Flat Trailer End, # HMC20031. This will give you a trailer end connector on your trailer. The connector is marked to show where the wires will attach. Ground (GD) is the white wire. Tail/marker lights (TM) is the brown wire. Left turn (LT) is the yellow wire. Right turn (RT) is the green wire.
This will allow you to plug in your 4-pole flat vehicle end connector on your vehicle to the 4-pole flat trailer end connector on your trailer.
I am sending a link to the installation instructions on the Draw-Tite T-One wiring harness.
