Can Trailer Wiring Harness 118496 be Used on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma with Factory Tow Package
Question:
Can I use #118496 with the factory-installed tow package? I need both 4-Way and 4 Flat options for two different trailers and I dont like using the adapter because it doesnt work sometimes. Thanks.

Since Tow Ready wiring harness # 118496 plugs in line with the vehicle tail light wiring you can use it on your 2007 Toyota Tacoma with factory tow package.
It is possible that you just have a faulty adapter or that the trailer with the 4-Way connector is corroded (or there is corrosion in the adapter) and that could be why it doesn't always work.
