Fit of etrailer e98874 24 x 60 Cargo Carrier on 2016 Kia Sorento With Factory Hitch
Question:
Hello, I currently own a new 2016 Kia Sorento with a factory installed hitch. I am looking to purchase the 24*60 etrailer cargo carrier folding. Can you confirm that this will fit and do you have recommendation for an anti-rattle hitch receiver lock. The Lets go aero code 63232 looks appealing. Is there still the cross-threading issue? I appreciate your help.

The etrailer # e98874 should be an excellent choice for your 2016 Sorento, as long as the hitch is a Class III with a receiver tube that has a 2 inch by 2 inch square inside dimension. The carrier should be fully compatible, but there's a quick measurement you can take to make absolutely sure. Measure rearwards from the center of the hitch pin hole until you clear the furthest rearward edge of the back bumper. As long as this distance is less than 9-1/2 inches (which it should be), the carrier will fit perfectly.
Instead of the # 63232 anti-rattle locking hitch pin, this carrier uses the # e99047 and it has proven to be reliable. There were some reported problems of the # 63232 last summer/fall with the bolt and nut getting stripped or cross-threaded but Let's Go Aero has since redesigned the lock and we haven't heard of any problems since then. Regardless, this carrier uses the # e99047 anti-rattle lock.
