Solution for Trailer That Requires Taller Fifth Wheel Height than Available to Tow Level
Question:
We have a dodge 2500 diesel with a 14k reese 5th wheel hitch. We would like to pull the trailer more level which would require raising our hitch about 8. We have one adjustment left and that will give us about 11/2inch more. It is at 15inch now from the bed. Do you offer any thing that solves this issue?

Can you move the pin bow lower in the mounting holes? Pin boxes typically have a few different mounting hole options that allow you some height flexibility.
Otherwise you might have to lower your trailer to allow it to be towed level.
You can do this by moving the axles from being above the leaf springs to below the leaf springs.
The diameter of your trailer axle will determine the size of the parts that you will need to order. If your axle is 3 inches diameter, the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit, # K71-385-00, would be a great choice and if your axle is 2-3/8 inch diameter you could use the Over-Under Kit, # K71-384-00. These kits can be installed without welding but the manufacturer strongly recommends having the new spring seat tacked in place on the other side of the trailer axle.
