Should Power Wire for Powered Trailer Wiring Run Through Interior or Exterior
Question:
How is the the hot lead routed to the battery? through the interior or under the car? I am talking about the trailer lights on a 2016 Scion Ia with a manual transmission. part # C56311

When routing the power wire for the install of a powered trailer wiring harness like part # C56311 you have the option to run it through the interior and then out through the firewall or you can run it to the outside of the vehicle at the rear of the vehicle through a grommet in the trunk and then route it up to the battery that way. It really depends on how you would prefer. Most commonly through the exterior is the method used.
