4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for RV that Has Separate Signal 6-Way Installed

Question:

I have a 2007 Winnebago View on a 2006 Mercedes Sprinter Chassis that has a 6-pin socket. The brake and backup lights are not tied into the turn signal wires see attached wiring diagram. I purchased a 6-pin round to 4-pin flat adapter because all my trailers have 4-pin flat connections. All lights work on the vehicle and the running lights and turn signals work on the trailer with the adapter, but the brake and backup lights do not work. Is there a plug a play adapter, or do I need a power converter to get a 4-pin connection out of the RV?

Your RV has separate turn signal from stoplights so while I have a solution I can provide, it will not involve the 6-way socket you have.

You would want to install a 4-way to your vehicle with the part # 119250KIT. This will allow you to keep the connector you have now and also have a 4-way connector ready for your trailers.
