Solutions for Green Wire of Trailer Wiring harness part # 118494 Not being Long Enough
Question:
2011 Equinox. The green wire that runs to the passenger side taillight is not long enough. What volt do you use to extend? It does not say in the tutorial.

We had one customer who installed the # 118494 on a similar Equinox as yours and was able to tuck the green wire behind the weatherstripping at the bottom of the tailgate to get enough of the wire to not need to extend it.
Otherwise you could easily extend it with double bonded 12 gauge wire part # 12-2-1 which is sold by the foot.
