Charging the Battery in a 2015 GMC Canyon Being Flat Towed Behind an RV
Question:
will i need a charging system for my canyon if i use the rm 9332 to power up my brake buddy unit

Since the battery has to be disconnected to flat tow your 2015 GMC Canyon and you are using a braking system that requires 12 volt power it is a good idea to have a way to provide a maintenance charge to the vehicle battery from the RV.
You can use the automatic battery disconnect # RM-766 with charge line # RM-156-25 to provide the charge to the battery.
If you prefer to disconnect the battery manually and not use RM-766 then you can run a wire from the running light circuit on the vehicle side lighting system from the RV directly to the positive battery terminal. In either case you would need to have the RV running lights turned on to provide power to the Canyon battery.
