Recommended Parts for Installing Prodigy Brake Controller to 2nd Vehicle 2016 Honda Pilot
Question:
Ive recently purchased this 7 way connector for my Pilot. I intend to run an electronic braking system as well. Ive wired the prodigy to my Jeep in the past so I understand how to wire it. I purchased Tow Ready part number 20127 so I could use the prodigy in the Pilot as well. Does the 118286 wiring integrate directly with the braking system or is there another part I need to run power from the prodigy to the trailer brakes?

To use the Prodigy brake controller in either vehicle will require you to have the correct brake controller wiring adapter installed.
If your 2016 Honda Pilot has the tow package then you will just need the # 3070-P which was designed to fit your 2016 Honda Pilot. You will find the plug and port under the dash.
If your Pilot doesn't have the tow package then you will just need an extra 20 amp fuse to install the brake controller, in addition to the # 3070-P. The fuse will go into slot 3 in the small fuse under the hood by the firewall is the location you will need to insert this fuse, when we had one here on the lid of the box there were many extra fuses available for use.
To easily transfer the Prodigy from one car to another, I recommend purchasing a second mounting bracket. If you have the P3 # 90195 you will want the # TK5906 and if you have the P2 # 90885 you will want the # 7686.
I have linked all the products mentioned above to this page for your convenience.
