How Would Reese Strait-Line Round Bar Weight Distribution Fit a V-Nose Trailer

Question:

Good Morning, I purchased P/N 66088 Reese Strait-Line Round Bar Weight Distribution Hitch with Hitch Bar last year. I did not get around to installing the systems since it was towards the end of the year and I was not towing in the winter. I have a 27FT V-Nose trailer that I am towing with a 2015 Toyota Tundra TRD. The tongue on the trailer is not as long due to the V-nose on the trailer so the brackets that were included did not work. I purchased P/N RP58305 Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems - Bolt On. My question is there a shorter Reese Straigh-line or will the bars included be suitable for my application? I noticed that some other models have the option to purchase separate trunnion bars. Please let me know if there is anything available, I plan on installing this system within a week or two. Thanks,

Your best option is going to be to install the bolt on brackets part # RP58305 that you mentioned as there isn't a shorter bar option available and since this bracket was basically designed for V-nose trailers like yours we know it would work well.

I attached a picture that shows how the brackets would work in a similar situation.
