You can't go wrong with either of the brake controllers you mentioned. The main difference between the controllers is how user-friendly the display is. The Prodigy # 90885 P2 uses an digital display that will display error codes in the event of any problems with the trailer's braking system. The Prodigy # 90195 P3 has a more user friendly display, which will actually spell out any problems, rather than an error code that you'll need to go look up.
To install the brake controller, you'll need our Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7 as well as a functional 4-pole trailer connector. If you don't have a 4-pole in place, you can install one using part # 118552.
